iRC3380 display blank

Good day guys,

Have these unit iRC3380 when you on the machine you can hear the machine rotation a while merely for 5 sec then the whole display LCD will go blank. Only at right hand side of the panel LED(green color) light up.

I have swap with a good main DC controller still the same problem. All extension board mounted in the main controller also have swap with other machine. Any idea where go wrong with these machine. Thank you

you said you changed out the extension boards and main controller. did you swap out the RAM or boot rom?

Yes I have swap out the RAM(1.5gb) and Boot Rom as well the HDD from a good working condition machine.....wonder could it be the power supply ?

low voltage power supply should be the one FM2-5544-010

Today try out change the low voltage power supply still the same no difference.........feel go crazy with these machine. Any more idea ?????

This is usually a main controller problem, but you can see the same issues with a bad stick of RAM or a defective boot rom.

low voltage power supply should be the one FM2-5544-010

Had to replace a couple of these on 3380's.

But, unlike the OP , this gave me no rotations at all. Green light only.

Do any fans run? What lights do you have on the main cont.?

The only time I have had it give No display / green light / peripherals cycle up is when its a main cont fault.


Other things I have had on these , albeit giving no rotations but green light only are - fuse gone on the main PSU ( part no FM2 9983 - gave red light on main cont ).
Also had a trapped wire on the top PPU bringing the 24v down. - I presume you have disconnected everything you can from your before boot?

Just for sh*ts and grins, check to see if it will come up in download mode. If it does, try reloading the system software. Never know, it could be a crashed HDD vs one that is just good enough to throw a 602.

Remember I am one of the newest techs so I tend to try off the wall things to narrow down what it isn't.

Check the remote signal at J254E, pin 3 on the Controller Power Supply (UN12). May be too low ??
The remote signal should be at least 3VDC.
Check signal back to the Low Voltage Power Supply at J302E, pin 3 and it see if also low.

The Low Voltage Power Supply probably is defective, thereby preventing the Boot-Up Process to initialize. The Low Voltage Power Supply needs to be replaced to resolve this issue.

The Low Voltage Power Supply PCB cannot be replaced by itself, it must be replaced by ordering the Main Power Supply PCB, which comes with the AC Driver PCB and the Low Voltage Power Supply PCB. The part number for the Main Power Supply is FM2-5544-010.

Try to change these main controller PS PCB assembly part no. FG3-3843. I came across these problem few months back with 1 unit. After changed problem solved.

Maybe, the operation System do not load...
check the hd controller (on the nib card)
