One of our client has E00020-181.
what is the problem and what is the procedure to get it back to work?

Salt Senser

This happens when the customer puts in a new drum. Find a manual and do the salt sensor procedure try turning machine on and off.

process control not happy, either far left drum is bad, or problem with salt sensor and error code relates to first color seen,
could be contact on door that is opened to replace drum contact dirty.
check addidtional function 2, 8 then additional function, copier, display , misc, what are the drum numbers you are seeing.
also, remove cover at bypass and power up, can you see patches, then squigglies for laser registration.
is sensor there not locked down front and back?
is tab on door broken, not opening shutter to expose sensor to patch?
is sensor dirty?
is transfer belt torn or not rotating?

if this happened a few hundred after drum was replaced then could be toner feed motor,

There is a fault associated with the drum/developer.

For the first 2 digits of detail code xx12 through xxD0,
xx=01: Y
xx=02: M
xx=03: C
xx=04: Bk

The actual value is considerably
high in relation to the ITB surface
reflectance when a new
drum is fitted.

The fault occurs while ATR control is being
executed.

we face this problem it was from the drum unit , if you have a used (Y) drum unit in agood condition try it .

Make sure the service cover inside the front door of the machine is installed and that the actuator for the SALT/Pattern Reader cover is not broken. When a new drum(s) is installed in the C3200 the machine immediately tries to make image pattern, density, and atr corrections, if the service cover is not installed or is broken an E020 may occur.
It is possible the front door plastic door interlock for the SALT sensor shutter is broken or not in place. If the shutter is not actuated by the interlock, the SALT sensor will error out when trying to perform ATR measurement resulting in an E020. Sub codes will be related to yellow ATR measurementsince it is the first color laid down on the ITB for ATR measurement

Try a different drum on associated color...makes sure pattern reader/salt sensor assembly is seated correctly
