    [Jamming] 10E2 jam

I have a Canon IR Advance 8105 that always jams when running 11x17 print jobs. It will not jam when running copy jobs. These jams occurs in the inserter unit. This machine is at a Fed Ex location. Has anyone else run into this problem? What little hair I have on my head is being pulled out with this problem! Jam Code is 10E2

        Problem :
Jam Code 10E2 occurs intermittently at the Document Insertion Unit-K1. Code10E2 is a Delay Jam to PS21 (outlet sensor, Document Inserter Unit K1)

        Solution :
Check the Operation of SL12, In this case, Realigning SL12 resolved the Issue.

Check the Operation of SL12,----Realigning SL12 may be needed.

          ALSO CHECK BELOW----

Check to see if the Damper (FC8-7236-000), is installed.

The damper is located on the Reverse Paper Delivery Assembly-

Personally i replace all the bushings in the delivery on these machines with bearings. Bushings stall the delivery motor(stepper) when gummy. Will cause all sorts of weird jams on these(6000 series also). Also ala ir5000 reversal rolls, internal delivery roll, one way gear, bearings, etc. A little different but same issues. See if it runs any different face up delivery as opposed to face down. Definitely make sure solenoid stuff is good

Also the drive unit in the rear of the machine that drives all those gears/rollers will get gummy and cause that jam code. It means stripping out the rear of the machine to get to but it's worth it.

Advance series(6000 and 8000) just as nasty to remove. Been there a few times. Never bad motor. Gummed up bushings at motor and delivery assembly always the culprit. I HATE STEPPER MOTORS...THEY CRASH WHEN LOADED...lol. If this machine has over 700k on it, replace the delivery/reversal/components...same issues as ir5000
