    Finisher S1 (for 4570)

....E500 cropping up intermittently (tray not moving, accompanied by a noise like the gears not engaging) but cant find any strip down instructions to release tray in the good old manual. Or am I not looking hard enough? Anyone the wiser on this one? Thanks in anticipation.

      Remove unit and inspect>Finisher S1 Install.pdf

      Check your Finisher PCB Fuses
      make sure u don't have limited functions on>before fuse check>if on>turn it off>then check
set your meter to DC volts and attach the black lead to a good ground on the finisher frame. With the red lead touch each end of Fuses. A good fuse will read 24 volts DC on both sides of the fuse. A bad fuse will read 24 volts DC on only one side of the fuse.
      Gear Noise

Tray Drive assembly may become bent or split. May be caused by the Torque Limiter Spring breaking, and putting too much pressure from the Lift motor to the drive gear. This may cause the Lift gear to become separated from the rack gear, and not properly mesh.

Tray Drive Assembly (Plate Only) 4F3-0259-000
      Torque Limiter Spring 4S3-2083-000

      S1 finisher controller reset
With the copier "ON' turn ON all 4 dip switches, cheat the finisher door switch, press and hold SW2 until the LED stops flashing. Then turn off copier, turn off dip switches and turn copier back on. Check to see if the finisher initializes

inspect is the Delivery Drive Assembly
Pressure Lever in the assembly can stick and cause a grinding noise. Lubricate the pressure lever
