If the device does not directly support wireless access, there are many wireless adapters that can work as repeaters, access points, bridges, etc,,, and can use the wired port on the copier. Consult a networking Engineer if you are not familiar with these devices...

Personally, I believe that wireless is just not as stable as a wired network, and should only be implemented when hard-wiring a site is impossible.

SECURITY level is also an added Issue

I forgot about that,,, WEP WPA is implemented at the device level, and the external ones I have seen in the past could not handle that, and the copier has no way of knowing it is on a wireless network, so it cannot provide the key...

          Good call Teckat!!

Some wireless bridges support security, such as this Linksys model:

                Tell me about it.

I'm under the gun from the "big boss" to get my Network+ cert in a few weeks (quite mind boggling) and now, to top it off, I'm getting SonicWALL trained, too!

The prereq training for this product is by far the most intense I've ever seen.

The good news is that these two actually intermingle and compliment each other nicely, but it's still a cranium overload.

I recall what fun I had training for my A+ certification 8 years ago, and they would also like me to get Net+ certified as well. I have the Net+ training book but can't seem to get motivated to give it a go. Too much trivia to remember, when there is really only a need for the basic understanding of how networks work.

Good luck with the brain drain,, ear plugs might help with retention!
