    Colorpass 4000 CD

HI, I have a colorpass 4000 fiery. I selected "format disk" from setup menu and now it doesn't boot. Where can I find the software CD to reinstall OS?

Sorry for the sarcasm, but what did you think would happen by choosing to format the disk? You should have had the software in hand before attempting what you did. I do not have the software. I suggest you contact a Canon Certified company to remedy this issue...

Lotsa luck finding that disk; I threw away my last copy about 4 or 5 years ago.

Even if you do manage to get a copy (BTW... the last version was 3.22), you will need an external SCSI drive to install it. As I recall, not all drives were supported; the ColorPASS was kinda picky about that. In addition, the connector on the ColorPASS is SCSI 1, so finding a cable is another challenge. The ColorPASSes actually came with a SCSI 1 to SCSI 1 cable, but I highly doubt that you still have that. Again, I tossed the last one right about the same time as the CDs. (And yes, the hard drive is also a SCSI 1 type.)

Keep in mind that this RIP is about 16 years old, (at least in engineering terms) as well as your CLC. Time to upgrade, don't you think???

I might actually have these still. Even the SCSI drive!!! LOL but in all honesty it is time to upgrade. That unit came out in 1997!!!!
