I have a canon 3080 that does not get the color registration, color and moved out

There are some adjustments? might be wrong?

Looks like a color registration problem to me! Go to service mode and run a test, PG TYPE 6. If you can see multiple colored lines and not black lines then that is your problem and follow these steps.

First Clean the two patch sensors on the frame of the Processing Unit (directly to the right of the black drum).
After that run Auto Color Mismatch Correction (located in Adjustment/Cleaning).

If this doesnt help you can try in level 2 Service Mode COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>REG-CLR.

If all else fails replace your Image Transfer Belt FM2-5522-030 & Cleaning Unit FM2-5523-000.

Looks like black drop off ???
Identify the color of the cross-feed light area and then check the Developer Clutch for that color. Swap that developer clutch with another color to see if the light area changes to the other color.

The last picture tells the tale well, it looks like the same issue experienced on 3200 series machines for ages. I would replace the ITB assembly and clean blade assembly, and start from there.

In service mode check DRBL-1 for ITB

To expand on this and I agree with what mrfixit51 says. The ITB unit is only good for 300K letter size impressions and the cleaner blade assembly is only good for 100K letter size impressions. If the ITB is stretched and slipping or the blade is dry and causing too much drag on the belt you will get misregistration like you are fighting here.

Didn't I say this in the beginning? Gotta clean those sensors before ordering parts tho... seen one get dirty and throw off the reg.

I have never had a color registration issue from dirty sensors before,, will have to look into that on the next occurrence of that issue...

on the 3200 & 5180 series yes, but I have yet to run across this on the 3380 series

I think they made the sensor system worse on this model, even though it has a shutter. Maybe because its not upside-down anymore it gets dirtier faster?

Not a bad color Canon either, the insides kinda remind me of a color printer not a 'real' copier.

yes they are more modular to reduce the price per page and service cost. Are you running your drums longer than they should be or using non OEM toner in your machines that you service? I find it odd that you have had a lot of these issues and as a company we have not had any on this model with the sensors getting soiled. Last check we had 200+ units running. Could it be an issue of toner coverage as well???

Most of ours only run 30% or so color and even then it is business color and not graphic type coverage.
