most likely you will need a new hard drive eventually
if you are lucky you can get by with going into setup and erasing everything by doing factory default or some name like that, after printing your config page
Is there a way to erase the print data area on the drive? The system area should not experience "bloat", but the print data area could be hosting lots of orphaned files...

On most fiery's you can go into setup and select "clear server". This will erase all print jobs on the hard drive and not touch the system software. I believe the C1 has this option also.
You can clear the server by using the Server>Clear Server command in Command
WorkStation or the Server>Clear Server command in Command WorkStation LE. In
Command WorkStation, you can delete the following jobs individually: held jobs,
active jobs, printed jobs, archived jobs, FreeForm masters, and scan jobs.
Although the capacity of the HDD is changed, the system software and the installation method for it are not changed.

NEW HDD, 20GB WM2-5199-000
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

This should free up the needed space on the HDD. Load CWS if you do not have it loaded already and you can easily clear the server of all the data that has built up over time.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
I was able to get the first screen and Cleared the server but then image Pass went to
"Printer Performing config Mode Settings" and Processing Data is flashing but nothing happens.
Could not log in with command workstation to remove stored files

Sounds like it is time for a clean install then. Hopefully you already have a configuration sheet print out from before this issue sprang up!

Anyone has experienced this issue please and what was the remedy.
Thanks in advance!
Easy FixI hope
1.-Print out your P Print & User Data settings 2.-Set CHK-TYPE to 1 (COPIER>FUNCTION>SYSTEM>CHK-TYPE)and perform an HD-CLEAR (COPIER>FUNCTION>SYSTEM>HD-CLEAR) if that doesn't clear the message then perform an MMI clear (COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>MMI).
check settings in service mode for any changes from sheets/re-input those

I have and selling a good copied image from a good working Canon Image Runner CR3200 commercial copier with Image Pass- C1 software placed on a larger hard drive. I remember testing and booting up copier with drive. Found it in my electronics tool box. Sold the business several years ago, so I don't need the hard drive.
