ir 4570: finisher can not be used

hello frnds. the finisher of my canon 4570 stopped working. my one worker placed a small carton under the finisher trays. what are the possibilities? i gone through service mode bt couldnt succeed. is is safe/possible to run machine with out the finisher circuit board if i send it,s board to repair it?

you must replaced Fhinisher control PCB for best prformance

if you are getting a message finsher cannot be used, it is safe to use , but you cannot staple or sort.

to get rid of this message ,you have to press 1 additional/functions 2 common settings 3 scroll to LIMITED FUNCTIONS and select OFF (OK).

turn copier off
turn copier on

finisher should now work

IPC6000VP : finisher can not be used

Does this work on the C6000VP AB2 Finisher as well? I have tried it but the settings seem to always stay on after the machine comes back up like it will only run in limited mode? paper comes out but I haven't tried doing a booklet. maybe then it would give a code. We did have one E05F3-8002 code but someone cleared it and I think it is now in the limited functionality mode and i cant get it out? help thanks

I don't do Imagepress, but I suspect, it has more than one page of Limited Functions like a 7105.
After turning the first one off, you should scroll to the next page(s), turn them off and reboot.
