hi you have to empty the waste toner container at back of this machine then go to service mode press *additional function then 28 and additional function again the copier next counter and look for waste toner then clear the counter by pressing clear button.then press resset button twice.
Turning off the message will more than likely lead to a broken toner auger some day, because people will tend to forget the waste toner bottle when they are fighting some other issues, and it will eventually fill up...

still displays it in service mode and the techs should be checking it on regular service calls. We do anyway!!
So you still see the banner message when first entering service mode?
That does put it in a different light. I have never seen one of them be truely full, so there would be a chance upon seeing that message when entering service mode to remedy the situation before calamity struck...

I know for a fact the IR-5020 series gives you a message as I saw it on Monday, but it has been a while on the 70 series and newer. It gives you the message right when you enter service mode before you choose which section you want to go in.
Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.
