[Misc] Canon IRC3220 control panel freeze after boot up

    Hi copytechers!

We bought a 2nd hand canon IRC3220 with fiery interface.

The machine freezes on start-up - the normal Canon start-up screen displays, followed by the normal control panel except that the screen will not respond to touch nor will the keypad. I can access to service menu for while then freeze. The message on the screen says "The printer is warming up" & touch screen is frozen.

Does anyone have any bright ideas?

    Cheers

you mean u have a Fiery imagePass C1/2 install on rear of printer ?

    C1 C2 BOX.JPG

if so - power off printer & Fiery
remove all connections -Communications cable /Cross Ethernet cable & Power cable from Fiery to Printer
    then power up printer
and get into service mode as quick as possible/ may take a few tries

get into COPIER>OPTION<INT-FACE>IMG-CONT & set it to "3" hit OK & power off printer
replace all Fiery connections/ if Fiery has a Power Switch leave it off/ if not don't worry/
Power up Printer/ when u see splash screen bar almost finished/switch on Fiery if it has a switch/if not bypass this step/

Your printer and Firey should eventually boot up/ These C1/2 Fierys are a pain in the but-
Depending on Fiery model, on newer ones EFI did away with the switch for Canon
Either way, always shut down the Fiery using the Control Panel under the Printer Tab, follow instructions on Shutdown method
