IR6020i HDD mismatch

    [Error Code] IR6020i HDD mismatch

    Working on a IR6020i and getting a hard drive mismatch error.

    Hard drive is a Hitachi 80gb, these drives have worked fine on the c3200/5000 series.

    Had a similar problem on a 5000/6000(d) only to find out about a newer version of sst+HDF needed to be used.

    Currently using:

    SST 4.52
    HDF v.14 - IR5020/6020(i)

    Have I missed anything on which HDF to use?

    I was told to use a WD800BB instead but before I go out and buy one I wanted to check here first.

      you could have the wrong HDD, but with this model you can change the IFT file and add your serial number. This should solve your connection issue.

                  Or just contact these people. It may cost a little more but they will put the right drive in your hands.

                      It could also be the level of system software for the copier you have in your possession. If it is old you may not have the latest format.ift file to support newer drives. This .ift file does lend itself to being edited, and you can search older threads here where that process was discussed in great detail...
