    IRC 5185

    Hi guys

I can't calibrate the image pass of IRC5185. I printed the page, and I put on the scanner, but the scanner didn't work. I reinstalled de system software, but didn't resolved, I checked the cables and reseated....What can I do? It isn't the machine calibration.

Have had a similar issue where wouldn't scan printout.

Try cleaning the optics. Remove the glass and clean mirrors and lamp.

      Worked for me

sorry misread your post> u are trying to calibrate the Fiery imagePass
are u using the KODAK GREY SCALE ??

Try setting IP port filtering to yes and make sure all ports are enabled. Reboot the fiery and print a configuration page to verify the changes that you've made. This should open all ports on the fiery and allow the calibration scan to go through.

        or try this>>>
Print out your P PRINT settings
Before Clearing the RCON, a P-Print should be printed out. If a P-Print was not or could not be printed, use the service label located inside the reader front cover. After clearing RCON, reset all the values from the P-Print or the service label.

        COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>R-CON. Thereafter, turn off
and then on the main power.
-Enter the settings for the following items in service mode:
1-standard white plate white level data/under back side of Copy Glass
        COPIER>ADJUST>CCD>W-PLT-X,Y,Z
2-service label settings (label attached behind reader unit front cover)
        (a) image read start position adjustment (x direction; for fixed reading)
        COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-XY>ADJ-X
        (b) image read start position adjustment (Y direction; fixed reading)
        COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-XY>ADJ-Y
        (c) shading position adjustment (for fixed reading)
        COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-XY>ADJ-S
        (d) feeder mode main scanning position adjustment
        COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-XY>ADJ-Y-DF
        (e) ADF stream reading CCD read position adjustment
        COPIER>ADJUST>ADJ-XY>STRD-POS
        (f) CCD unit-dependent RB/GB sub scanning direction color
        displacement correction value
        COPIER>ADJUST>CCD>CCDU-RG/GB
        (g) CCD unit-dependent RG/GB sub scanning direction color displacement value at shipment
        COPIER>ADJUST>CCD>FCCDU-RG/GB
        (h) auto gradation adjustment target value
        COPIER>ADJUST>PASCAL>OFST-P-Y,M,C,K

**This machine also stores ADF related data on the Reader Controller. Be sure to adjust the following in service mode for the feeder.

        1-FEEDER > ADJUST > DOC > STOP
        2-FEEDER > ADJUST > LA-SPEED
        3-FEEDER > FUNCTION > SENS-INIT
        4-For A/B size FEEDER>FUNCTION>TRY-A4 and TRY-A5R
        5-For INCH size FEEDER>FUNCTION>TRY-LTR and TRY-LTR-R
        6-COPIER > FUNCTION > CCD > DF-WLVL1.
Place a sheet of paper in the Feeder and run FEEDER > FUNCTION > CCD > DF-WLVL2
        Enter Level 2 Service Mode, COPIER > OPTION > BODY > SENS-CNF > set to 1

Clear R-Con of the Reader >power of/on put your R-CON settings back in and Perform a CCD adjustment.

        ALSO>>>

If Dept. ID mode is enabled on the copier, the scan function may be turned off in the following Dept. ID set up mode: Additional Functions - System Settings - Dept. ID Management - Register ID/Password - Scan = Off, resulting in 'Measurement Page Not Detected' being displayed when trying to scan the measurement page with the gray scale. If this is the case, you can enable scanning w/unknown ID's for calibration purposes with the following setting:

        * Additional Functions - System Settings - Dept. ID Management - Accept Scan Jobs W/Unknown ID's =ON
        Please note the following:
        * Be sure to turn Scan W/Unknown ID's to off after calibration is completed.

        * Also, if you're not sure if there is something under user settings preventing you from performing the scan you can perform an MMI clear in service mode under Copier/Function/Clear/MMI, this will reset all user settings to default. If you perform the MMI clear you may need to reset service mode Copier - Option - Int-Face - Img-Cont to '3'. power off/on again
(Even though it still appears to be set at 3

Yes, I'm trying calibrate the Fiery, using the Kodak Grey Scale, and when I put the printed page on the glass, with the kodak grey scale, the scan didn't move to did the scan, and the machine passed to the next step normally as if it had the scanner of the page. I'll try it on friday.
          Thanks

Just a thought, are there patches that need to be installed on the fiery?? That often happens when system software update changes are applied to copiers, that they can create a problem for color/image pass boxes...
