AS400 w/ Canon Advance Color and "low Toner message"

Have had this issue before & now having it again with the new Canon Color Advance machines. When the machine indicates something like a "low toner" issue, the customers' AS400 stops printing to it. Until you remedy the problem (change toner early) the AS400 will just keep giving an error. I believe it's an SNMP problem, but I have very little knowledge of AS400. Any ideas of what can be set at the machine or at the AS400 would be very helpful.

Also - these copiers are directly connected to the copiers w/ PCL print kits - no external box or software, not printing IPDS.

    Thanks!!
