          reloading the System Software will repair the issue of slow copy speed.



          If the system software downloads very slow, the Nic may not be configured correctly in the laptop. Complete the following path on the laptop, to see if the Network Interface Card (NIC) is configured correctly.

          My Network Places > Properties > Local Area Connections > Properties > Configure > Advanced. Select Speed + Duplex to check the communication speed of the NIC. Be sure to set the speed to "Auto" or "100 Mb Full".

          Below is a screen shot with arrows pointing to the Speed + Duplex values.

              All your info is spot-on, One more question, can I use Vista home, or Windows 7 yet to install SSW.In your experience from start to finish with installing new harddrive to low format hard-drive to install SSW sound right in a perfect world, 1 hour ?
