Even if you do get the old drum out and the new one back in your starter will be old and worn along with the side seals which will cause toner dumping and an even bigger mess. Just buy a drum unit and be done with it.

          !
The company seems to have given up selling the refurb drums so its obvious they cannot use their kit to make a good drum.

in today's world customer contract prices need to reflect Drum costs

many companies still don't know know how apply this cost and experience a profit

structure of contracts is the science of knowing your customers truthful needs/
a customer can lie the first time/
but in the long run they will feel the pain of non-responsive service & an enlarged contract in the future-

if u supply OEM Drums/ it will prevent headaches and loss of customers

Seems logical. But the machine is supposed to work for another 3 months before scraping, with an average monthly of 2000-3000 copies a month.
                What do you guys suggest?

Have to laugh here,, I just had a flashback to my childhood. In the movie the Wizard of OZ, when the guards are marching back & forth in front of the witch's castle they are chanting Oh EE OH,,,OHOH.

Now I see them Chanting Oh EE M, OHOH...
