    ImageClass MF4150 - Service Menu / Baud Rates

    Recently purchased an ImageClass MF4150: Canon imageCLASS MF4150

    I'm trying to use it to fax over my VOIP line, but the 33kbps modem is much too fast.
    I'm looking to set the tx rate to ~9600, however, I haven't been able to find the service menu.

    Any ideas?

      E-mail'd Canon and they sent me this:

      Thank you for writing to us about your imageCLASS MF4150. We value you
      as a Canon customer and appreciate the opportunity to assist you.

      Please perform the following steps to adjust the RX (Receive) and TX
      (Transmit) Speeds:

      1. Press ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS.

      2. Press the # key.

      3. Wait until the LCD reads 1.SERVICE'S CHOICE and then press OK.

      4. Press the left arrow key until you see RX SPEED and then press OK.

      5. Press the left arrow key until you see V.17 14400 etc and then press
      OK.

      6. Press the left arrow key until you see TX SPEED and then press OK.

      7. Press the left arrow key until you see V.17 14400 and then press OK.

      8. Press STOP/RESET.

      9. Test the fax.

      NOTE: If your service provider has suggested a different speed, set it
      per their recommendations. There are several options available. If you
      continue to experience difficulties, please repeat the above steps
      trying different speeds until you find one that works, or you have tried
      them all.

          These instructions worked on my Canon MFP3240.

          Thank you very much for taking the time to post your findings. I searched a couple of places before landing here and I am glad google led me here.
