Thanks all, I have solved the problem. The machine just needed reset. The printhead is still working but probably will need to be replaced soon.

I ment reset, or clear error condition mr.field supervisor. Obviously some people here do not want to help but flaunt their titles.

Thanks to those who really wanted to help.

When a service call error occurs, the error is not cleared and the error display remains on the operation panel even if printer power goes off and on.
This is to avoid thet the user can cleare service call errors preventing the printer from damage.
Service call errors can be cleared, however, by starting up the printer with the service mode.

                    Let me get this straight:
First you cry for help, (and you get it for free), than you play professional (with the reset thing)
And when we ask you what do you mean by reset - you get angry & start questioning the skills ????

                    Now to the RESET option:
In copiers - the term "Reset" means smth mainly to the fixing error codes (E001).
When you have such an error code - you are able to "reset" it in service mode.

In plotters - the term "Reset" doesn't mean much.
This is why you had such a reaction from me and Teckat.

                    But to each its own...

I am not here to flaunt a title/ I could care less about my title-
I am here to help, -

RESET & CLEAR are two completely different terms used on Canon products/

I will never tell/or explain to an end user (customer) how to Clear an ERROR over the phone. With out being onsite to inspect the issue.

RESET / depending on the customers explanation of the problem over the phone or e-mail, I will determine if this is a simple issue (counters, server issues, jams, paper trays, drivers, waste bottle, etc.)
