Password for the Advance Box on imageRUNNER ADVANCE-
When you login into the Remote User Interface and you select [User Access Control for Advance Box] located on the right side of the screen, you will be prompted for a username and password.
Username: Administrator (A is capital, and the rest of the letters are lowercase.)
Password: password
Advance Box is a new type of Document Sharing System implemented on the new imageRUNNER ADVANCE series devices.
The Advanced Box accommodates a variety of document storage workflows with flexible access control.
It can be considered a peer to peer network alternative to the dedicated document storage servers found in all domain network environments. Hard Drive mirroring options are available.
The Shared Folder is accessible to anyone who has a registered ID.
The Personal Folder can only be accessed by one registered user at a time.
It can be used in the same way as the internal mailboxes, except that the imageRUNNER ADVANCE printers on the network can share their Advance Box storage space with each other as well as store scanned documents and standard Microsoft Office, PDF, JPEG, TIFF and XPS Documents. These documents can be accessed and searched from individual workstations as well.
Advanced Box is an evolution to the Mail Box. It is a device resident storage feature that coexists with the Mail Box but serves an important new function as a built-in document sharing system. Advanced Box combines enhanced document management and collaboration (sharing) capabilities with external systems, and security/control features.
Collaboration linkage is the key component to Advanced Box, offering bi-directional collaboration between imageRUNNER ADVANCE devices and access from Client PC via SMB or WebDAV protocol.
- Advanced Box Client /Server Collaboration
When using multiple ImageRUNNER ADVANCE devices, Advanced Box can be interchangeable used for effective usage of data, printing or browsing documents between server and client Advanced Box devices. Printable files can be stored into and printed from Advanced Box of local and remote devices, expanding storage space at no additional cost.
- Client PC Collaboration
Advanced Box can be accessed from Client PC using general searching applications (Microsoft Explorer, Google Appliance, Yahoo! Desktop, Google Desktop, Mac Spotlight, etc) or imageRUNNER ADVANCE Desktop* application available with imageRUNNER ADVANCE Essentials.
