    [Misc] imageprograf 8100

Hi folks I was wondering if anyone has a service manual for this machine. I'm getting a printhead temperature error. Changed the printhead yet still does it. canon won't let ISG guys touch the commercial stuff apparently. Thanks all

All requests for service manuals must be made in the Service Manual Request Forum.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Whoops sorry about that. Moderator can close this thread.

update - tried to create a post in the sm request forum but it keeps saying I do not have permission to do so.

        Printhead error

        <Remedy>

        1.Replace the printhead.
        2.Replace the head relay PCB.
        3.Cable connection check
Replace the cable between the head relay PCB and carriage relay PCB if the
        connection is not functioning normally.
        4.Replace the carriage relay PCB.
        5.Cable connection check
Replace the cable between the carriage relay PCB and engine controller if the
        connection is not functioning normally.
        6.Replace the engine controller.
        7.Replace the system controller.

When a service call error occurs, the error is not cleared and the error display remains
on the operation panel even if printer power goes off and on.
This is to avoid thet the user can cleare service call errors preventing the printer from
        damage.
Service call errors can be cleared, however, by starting up the printer with the service
        mode.
Codes in parentheses are not displayed when a service call error occurs.
These codes can be checked in the error history by using
        SERVICE MODE>DISPLAY>ERROR.
When the Temperature Rise error (E161-403E or 403F) occurs, three records are recorded per error on the error
record of Print.Inf. Therefore, the frequency of occurence should be counted as once for three records. A countermeasure
will be taken so that one record is recorded per error.
If it ain't broke, don't fix it

Thank you I'd still like the manual if possible as all I have now is the user's guide which doesn't give me much to go on. No error codes, disassembly, replacement procedures, etc....

                not everything is free here

you can not buy a service manual from Canon/ unless u work for an authorized dealer

technically yes. Unofficially you can get whatever you want from any dealer you want. It's a sale to them and it happens a lot.

You put you dealership in jeopardy for a few manual sales risky bussiness.

I know of a few authorized dealerships who have bitten the dust for their sales practices.
