thanks for the reply sir Teckat..i like to buy a PCMCIA or EXPRESSCARDBUS caused more cheapest but in my country the card bus hasn't enought speed for transferring data it just has about 100mb/s(i thought it was not for downloading the system software), i heard something like quatech with 250mb/s transfering data. the problem is there is not quatech in my country. i may like to buy a USBcable even its a second hand. thank you.

I rather buy an old laptop with a parallel port then a cable, the newer IR machines do not require the parallel ports anymore.
The speed of the parallel port is slow due to the Windows XP OS, it can be faster if you use Win98.
