E 100 Ir 600

after a few weeks i replace LD2, i receive error 100..

its happen when machine jam papper in unit 2, it's still show jam, then i turn off & on and....
the machine running and then cleaning wire after that show e100.. until know

E100 means the machine is not recognizing the laser.

Check that the shutter is opening all the way(door interlock)
Check for a dirty or out of position BD (beam detect) mirror

Whats is LD2...not near book...if it is laser or associated you have to put in new door specs for laser

i don't have tool for measure the laser..

don't need to measure laser power..what i said is that if you replaced a laser you have to enter its data(power,delay...etc) in appropriate locations in service mode(adj)..there should be a decal on the laser unit to get this information

E100 is laser related. But in the field I found out that the drum unit has a small piece of plastic(an actuator) that engage a switch. Sometimes I found this plastic broken .
