    Canon 3245i bad control panel

Have a 3245i with a blank display. Start button is green and they can print to the machine ok. Wont copy.
Tried adjusting contrast with knob on panel and no change. Tried resetting memory sticks and ng. Assume its a bad display. Question is will a 3570 panel work on the machine. Have a 3570 parts manual but do not have a 3245i. If there are any suggestions as to what part might be bad and if you can include a part number I would appreciate it.
    Thanks

could be a bad Memory Dimm on the Main Controller /u have one to swap test ??
are the Main Controller LED lamps are ON or OFF ?????.

most likley the LCD Inverter PCB (Part Number FM4-6690-010) is shot=
NOTE:new style LCD Inverter PCB now has a jumper, JP4, on it.
there may be one of two different style LCD's in the machine, each with a different style connector to the Inverter PCB. There are two positions for jumper JP4 depending on which LCD you have.

If the LCD Display's connector plugs into J2 on the LCD Inverter PCB, the jumper for JP4 should be positioned all the way to the left for the LCD Display to work properly. Please refer to the picture below:

If the LCD Display's connector plugs into J3 on the LCD Inverter PCB, the jumper for JP4 should be positioned all the way to the right for the LCD Display to work properly. Please refer to the picture below.

Countermeasures when nothing is displayed on control panel.

          Servicing Work:

The resistor switch board (FH9-0807-000) is newly set up as a service part to melt the thin solder film adhering
          to the connector pin.
Perform the following steps to attach the resistor switch board if the foregoing symptom has occurred in the
          field.
<How to attach the resistor switch board>
          1. Remove the rear cover.
          2. Measure output voltage of the resistors R64 [3], R65 [4], and R66 [5] on the main controller while the power
is ON. If any of the resistors does not output 3.3V and the value drops to 0V, it means that the connector pin
shorted out. In this case, perform the step 3 and later. If all resistors outputs 3.3V, examine the LCD and other
          cause.
