finisher can't move up and down

    [Error Code] finisher can't move up and down

    I have canon ir6570 with finisher kit, but every i turn it on it displaying error e000542-8004 and te
    text "finisher cannot move up or down"
    please help me

      what FINISHER MODEL ????

      542-8004
      Manually check Tray 2 paper surface sensor PI115 for proper operation by pushing the guide upward from the bottom of the tray. If you do not hear the switch actuating and de-actuating, the actuator is out of normal position. This condition will cause the machine to display an Error Code E542-8004.
      To repair the problem, disassemble and remove the tray as per the service manual procedure and re-position the switch actuator to the proper position.



      does the control panel indicate Limited Functions in lower left corner ??

          yes, it indicate Limited Functions

              GO IN AND TURN IT OFF (Limited Functions)

              check under additional functions>common settings>page 6>limited functions mode.
              See if that is turned to on.
              If it is set on turn it to off and recycle the power.

                  Thank's teckat, before i don't know where is Tray 2 paper surface sensor PI115 place. But i search at google about it and i found the manual book. This is the address ftp://89.223.26.2/.../finisher-t1-pm.pdf
