FinisherV1- E551-8001/E542-8003/E540-8001

    FinisherV1- E551-8001/E542-8003/E540-8001

    Brought in one Finisher V1 today morning from one of the dealer, the Finisher is giving few error code, first it show E551-8001( Finisher power supply fan problem), after that it show E540-8001/E542-8003. Have tried replaced the Finisher controller but not successful. What could be the cause? Is the version of the finisher got anything to do with this ( Finisher version 10.06, MN-cont version 78.02)
    One other question, how do we upgrade the finisher controller version? Is it using the SST? Hope somebody should help.

      If the imageRUNNER is alternately displaying error codes of E540, E542 and E551. And it has been observed that the Finisher trays do not move. While the errors of E540 and E542 relate to tray movement, tray A and tray B respectively, the E551 indicates a Power Supply fan error.




      After replacing the Finisher Power supply, if the issue is continued.
      Replace the Finisher controller & Switching Reg.

      The Part numbers are as follows:

      Finisher Controller: FM2-6428-000- u did this

      Switching Regulator: FK2-1743-000

      Power Supply Fan: FK2-0636-000


      u need the to Use the Downloader PCB (FY9-2034)
      The downloader PCB is used when upgrading the CPU (IC108) of the Finisher Controller PCB.

          Thanks Nick, got the problem solved. The power supply is the one giving problem.
