[Jamming] c2880 manual feed problem.

Placing paper in the bypass and running a print, will result in a jam. The paper has not moved, so it must be a the very beginning of the process. Any common things to check first? The paper sensor does release the lock on the pickup roller (it is easier to turn the gear once paper is in the slot).

is the MF paper lifting plate rising up ??

remove the MF UNIT to inspect interior & connectors

Manual Feed Pickup Unit
The machine executes the manual feeder pickup by carrying down the driving from the registration multi motor (M6) to the manual feeder pickup roller with connecting the manual feeder pickup clutch (CL5).

Once the manual feeder pickup operation starts, the multi lifting plate up/down solenoid (SL4) turns ON. Then, the lifting plate of the manual feeder pickup assembly goes up, and a paper on the manual feeder pickup tray is pressed against the manual feeder pickup roller. In terms of paper, one paper is separated and fed by means of
the manual feeder pickup roller and the separation pad.
