which model is the best?

hi,
im looking for a used canon copier with a speed of 30 to 45cpm. which model is the best that you can recommend? they say ir3300 is the best but based on my research its quite an old model already (released in 2001). some say ir3570/4570 is good also but maybe the newer models ir3045 and 3245 are better? i need a machine that has less service calls but can be used fully. any suggestions? thank you.

If ir3300 is in good shape, I will choose it against the rest. Most of ir3570, 3045, 3245 will end up left with only one working paper cassette.

The iR3300 is a real workhorse. We have few devices still in field with over 700k in their meters. And usually service calls are related to paper cassette rollers, drum or the cleaning roller. So nothing uncommon so far. I'd go for the 3300 if the meter and price are right.

If you want newer model, then you should take the 3245. But if you ask me, it ain't still as good as the 3300

thanks guys. but it's a 10year old machine since it was released in 2001. you mean canon was not able to make another model which is as good as the ir3300 within its category after 2001? i am currently using ricoh aficio's and so far service calls is quite high. i want to shift to canon maybe its efficient than ricoh and i would be buying more than 100 units that's why i am looking for a model that is proven efficient and reliable with less service calls. more info would be highly appreciated. thank you.

Ir 3245 is good choice but your wish is speed of 30 to 45cpm.Why exactly?For example iR 5055 is almost the same price but it's havy duty machine,
if you wont make bussines with this machine.This is my opinion.

i think you should go to ir2535 or ir2545 they are cheaper than ir5055 but ir 5055 is tougher than ir25xx series.ir 2545 there drum can reach up to 140k and the spare parts are very easy to replace and base on my experience there are no jam issue on this model. best one. maybe these machine will be next to ir 3300 an immortal copier.


but you have to consider first the needs of the costumer the monthly volume of copies they do every month .

You cost per page to run the 50ppm devices will be less than that of the 30 or 40ppm devices. The 50ppm devices are also built to last longer so you will not be looking to replace a machine of that type in a couple of years. The lower speed machines usually have a lot of issues as the meter count gets higher and require a lot of service because of that.

thanks for all your info. i agree that the 50ppm category is better than the 30-45ppm category because they are heavy duty machines designed for high volume copies but they are huge, heavy and more expensive models that's why i prefer the 30-45ppm category and ir3300 is the best so far.

Do not forget that 3300 is an old mashin and service of copy technics does not come to an end only mechanics there as there is also electronics which plays not an unimportant role

any comments/issues about the performance of canon ir4570, ir3045 and ir3245?
can these models reach 2million or 3million clicks before it can be junked?
any idea what's the highest clicks these models can reach?
