Complicated clone IR2270 hard drive into a bigger drive - Please Help

    Hello
I live in Venezuela, and apparently the canon customer service here is about none.
I got a full month with my copier broken, and the first time they told me it was the boot rom, I bough one extremely overpriced and a week later, I got the error code for the hard drive. Now I'm wondering if the boot rom was faulty in the first place.

So I got the hard drive out and manage to clone an image of it. with CloneHd, I got the raw image and it gave me no errors.
I also got SST since a forum guy from here kindly gave it to me, although I don't know how to use it a guy came and tryed to install the system into different drives without luck.

I got 2 older hard drives from old laptops of mine, one is 30 gb and the other is 80gb.
Now I know the canon file that holds the information that the drives that can be used is encripted.
    My question are some.
Anyone can share a list of supported hard drives and see if I can fin some used in local ebay?
    Or
Is there a way to put that image into a bigger drive and make it work like the hard drive is the original 20gb drive?

Thank you a lot for you kind responses
    Belen

it has been posted on here a couple of times by teckat. Do a search and you should able to locate it.
I doubt your boot rom took out your HDD. very unlikely
I would get a manual for the SST as well.

Only certain model hard drives will work in these machines. I will look on my computer and see it I can find the models.

I know the Toshiba MK2023GAS works.

this does not work on the 70 series. That file is not editable.
