    Canon IRC5870u

I have this Copier printing the Blues more like purple. My guess its mixed some of the Magenta with the Cyan. Any easy fixes?

this machine has always had a tendency to print that way. Have you ran an auto gradation yet? If not do that first. Second I would adjust my colors for copy or print and lighten the magenta up if all of your colors looked solid on your auto gradation pages and the machine is still having the issue after running the auto gradation.

You can find the color adjust settings under additional functions.

I have done the auto grad adjustments, cleaned everything I could reach without removing main components.
Not as familiar with this model as most canon color I have worked on..(2880, 3080 etc.)

this unit is far far away from a 3080 my friend. Get a manual....and then hope you never have to service that unit again. This is by far one of canon's worst designed units....EVER!!!

this series should have been buried a long time ago

First Remove all Calibration in (Printer Tab)
            Run Full Auto Gradation

do u have a Fiery ? do u use Kodak Gray Scale ??

No Fiery, Katun test chart, I will try to remove all calibration and do the Auto Grad again

                no fiery = no calibration.

Check under additional functions>printer settings>settings>print quality>density. Make sure that they are all at 0 before adjusting.

Also clean your optics and run a CCD adjustment before the auto garadation as well.

After cleaning and running the auto gradation adjustment run your sample copies and adjust the additional functions>printer settings>settings>print quality>density to compensate for if your colors are off. If blue is still purple then take your magenta down 1 or 2 places and test again
