With the newer devices-You can back up the mailboxes to a shared folder on a computer and then later restore them on the machine. This option backs up the mailbox name, password, and also the contents of the mailbox. Perform the following steps to set up this option:
1. From Remote User Interface, select Additional Functions.
2. Select Custom Settings.
3. Select Backup/Restore Settings.
4. Select Backup Destination Settings and enter the settings as follows:
HOST IP ADDRESS: \\COMPUTER_NAME_OR_IP_ADDRESS\shared_folder_name.
FILE PATH: path to the folder within the share (blank if sending to root of shared folder).
USER NAME: enter a valid user name that has write privileges to the host that you are sending to.
PASSWORD: enter the valid password for the user that you have entered above.
5. After setting up the destination settings then you can use the backup option to backup the mailboxes to your computer and then the restore option to restore it on the machine backup.jpgNOTE: It is possible to schedule mailbox backup jobs and to perform differential backups on certain models.
