    Canon IR 6317 - Jam?

Hello folks,I v got problem with this machine, wanted to record a video to show you but my camera is broken..So I am going to describe it to you

~ I plug in power cable, machine warms up,optic unit gets in its position, thats all fine, machine warms up,but when i press start button, scanner lamp goes to half of A4 paper,so like 110 CM from its original position and it gives me jam paper error...paper jams at the place where it pulls paper from drawer, so i wonder,is there any way to check for error code or something,

I dont know if i should concentrate my search on drawing unit,or its about laser and optics ...

    thanks in advance

Probably is paper jam the reason for scanner lamp stops. What do you done already?

      1.Check the paper holddown
      tabs.

      2.Check the strength of
      the paper-lifting
      springs.

      1.Change the copy paper.

      2.Instruct the user about
      the correct method of
      storing paper.

      Replace the pick-up rollers.

      Replace the pre-registration
      paper sensor
      (Q2).

      1.Check each feed roller
      for wear and deformation.

      2.Check the paper guide
      plate for burrs or deformation.

      Check the registration
      roller clutch

Are the registration rollers worn, deformed,
or dirty? If they are dirty, clean
      them with alcohol. If
      they are deformed.
