I have system software of Canon Ir8500 And Ir8500-N . but I have Some Copiers That they Are Ir8500C series.
I wanna know How Can I Change These Copiers To Ir8500 N ?
Is it possible .
If it is Im waiting For Your Helpfull Suggestion.

Since you have a N system software, all you have to do is to flash the bootrom to N or (@ teckat stated) then load the system software N using SST. (I have bundle of this one)

you cannot go from a 'C' to an 'N' without a chip copier/burner which is illegal. You need to purchase an 'N' bootrom and then reload your system in order to connect for printing.

Hehehe...I am not using chip copier/burner for this machines. I am using canon machine instead and through SST. (is it illegal?)

Software Mismatch Error
technician is trying to flash a machine with a N version of system software
and there is a C version Boot ROM installed on the main controller board.

Using SST
You cannot flash a C Boot ROM chip to a N Boot ROM chip, or vice verse.
You must physically replace the Boot ROM chip.


When registering firmware for the iRC3220 there is
no distinction between N or C version in the Service Support Tool. When you flash the C3220 simply select 'BOOT'

On these devices you no longer need to install an "N" Boot ROM to enable printing. These devices will always have a 'C' Boot ROM listed.
Print kits are enabled through an LMS license key and, once registered, will enable the device to print.

You can confirm which PDL's are supported on your device by pressing the 'Counter Check' button on the control panel. Once in the counter check screen, select the 'Device Confirguration' button on the LCD. Scroll down to the installed options and you will see which PDL's the device supports. You will see either UFRII, PCL and/or PS if those print kits have been registered.

NOTE: If you have an external RIP, such as an imagePASS J1/H1, colorPASS GX-100 or imagePRESS T1/Q1, you will not have any PDLs listed on the copier because there are no internal print kits installed on the device. In this case printing is controlled by the external RIP and you will still use the 'C' Boot ROM.
