    Canon IPF700 Banding Issue

We are printing out banners on our Canon IPF700 printer and have come up with banding issues. The background is a solid black and we noticed that after it printed about 12 inches it started to do a banding (there is no blend in the background). Up closed we noticed that there are thin lines going through it at about ever 1/2 inch.

Any suggestions....does it just need a good cleaning?

i cant help but maybe this will

I'm not an expert but i had something similar and took and cleaned the cleaning area of the head, where it comes to home, i cleaned the air blocks, those things that look like fish tank aerators, checked the seal of head to the air blocks.(don't remember the real name sorry) went through a head cleaning, what a waste of ink. I checked the head height since that will also cause problems. The best thing to do, and I'm not sure if if its a good idea to send you away from this site, please come back, but here is a forum link for wide format printers (Canon), but not connected to Canon themselves. IPF 700, 600 etc.
