[Misc] e-Maintenance RDS Agents

Hi All

I was asked by my service manager if i knew anything about e- maintenance
I thought i knew enough to get by until he asked me this
"What communication protocols to each agent use"
1)RDS Agent 2.5
2)RDS Agent 3.0
3)e-RDS (I know this one is HTTPS)

think one uses SMTP email (Not sure which one), andthe other...No Idea

Can anyone please help

You can upgrade from RDS v2.x to RDS v3.0 and with v3.0 you can Change the RDS type from HTTPS to SMTP (or from SMTP to HTTPS).

RDS v3.0 (HTTPS) Plug-in and RDS v3.0 (SMTP) Plug-in is different. They are provided separately.
* RDS Bit is new type of e-RDS. It sends own device data to RDS instead of UGW.
