IRC 3080i network printing

Good Day to all,

one of my clients have irc 3080i that needed to connect to netwrok printing. i put valid ip address in the machine and the printer & the computer is ok when pinging. but when i install the drivers, the computer cannot detect the printer. also when i manually put the ip address, it failed to print the test page.

is there any set-up that i missed or any set-up on the printer needed to be changed? btw, before they are not using it for network printing..

Did you check" reactivate sleep mode printers"?Also try to install the driver on some other comp.

What type of printer port are you using and which print driver are you trying to install....UFR, PCL or PS?

the costumer using tcip port... i'd try to install the three drivers (pcl,ufr,ps5) to three different pc but same response... i will check that reactive printer in sleep mode. is there any settings in the machine need to be check that will cause this one...?

I would try to print from my laptop using a crossover cable to eliminate as many possible causes as you can.
You want to initialize all data settings as well and then reconfigure with accurate information. Double check the ipconfig on a PC and make sure that IP address you are using is actually not being used by another device on the network.
