Been fighting this half the day. The j1 am doesn't go into a whole lot of detail. Not that I understand anyhow. Jam code 0081 (stack delivery sensor home position). Intermittent problem. Every few pages. This is the 2 black belts that push the paper out of the holding tray onto delivery tray. The front one hits a lever or switch sensor by way of one of the fingers when it rotates. Sometimes it will cycle 3 or 4 times before coming to rest. Thinking maybe not catching the arm good........and throwing the jam code mid job....just wandering if anyone has had that problem. May try a piece of tape tomorrow to thicken that rubber arm on the belt.....didn't think of that whilst there.......

May be you can take out the finisher unit and inspect the pulley 32-T(FS5-3897-000)

tension on the stack delivery belts on the finisher J1 are too loose ????

The intermediate handling tray consists of a return roller and two stack handling belts; of the two stack handling belts, the one at the front is equipped with two stack delivery levers.
When a sheet is deposited in the intermediate handling tray, the intermediate handling tray paper sensor (S5) goes ON.
The stack delivery belt is driven by the stack delivery motor (M2). The return roller, on the other hand, is driven by the delivery motor (M1) when the motor rotates in reverse.

S8= Paper does not reach the stack delivery lever home
position sensor (S8) after all the following:
the stack delivery lever is driven by the stack delivery motor (M2); and it is driven as much as will move the paper to reach the stack lever home position sensor. Or, the paper does not leave the stack lever home position sensor after the stack delivery lever is driven as much as will move the paper to leave the stack delivery lever home position sensor.
A check for this jam is made while paper is on the move; if the same condition is detected during initialization, it will be processed as an error.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

Yeah. I guess I will remove it tomorrow and check the belt gears and pulleys. It has over a million on it so maybe worn..Comment

Glad I didn't take out the finisher. I noticed the image a little off alignment. The paper cassette rear guide was out of position and the paper was to the rear more than was supposed to be. It would run fine without offsetting because it was to the front, but when it would try to offset to the rear, it would screw up for some reason. readjusted paper guides, made 1000 pages fine. What an idiot. Thanks. Hated to post this but, oh well, lol....
