I just installedan IRC3220 and set everything up for direct IP printing. When I send a test print to it, the processing light flashes, it says processing but does nothing else. When I check the status, it says waiting to print. It has an "N" boot rom in it and the firmware is up-to-date. What can I check next? Please help!

Re: IRC 3220 not printing
just use the standard TCP/IP port and configure normally. Also make sure that you are using the correct print driver. There are IRC-3220 and IRC-3200 drivers out there for both PCL and PS.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned. -

Re: IRC 3220 not printing
seldom the case, but I've experienced faulty network cable can cause this problem.
you can PING the devices both ways but when printing only shows the processing light.
how about your UFR card?Comment

Re: IRC 3220 not printing
this unit does not have a UFR card and does not support UFR II printing. It uses a SURF board to process print jobs coming into the main controller.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

Re: IRC 3220 not printing
you could have a possible DIMM issue as well. Read below:
Problem :
When printing from the network the machine would randomly stop printing and when you look in the device monitor screen it would state "Waiting to print". You could shut down the machine and reboot, then the machine would work fine for a while.
Solution :
Replace both memory DIMM's (WA7-3859-000, 512mg and WA7-2847-000, 256mg).
Does the machine copy and print internal test pages properly?Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.Comment

remove/clean ends/re-seat on memory DIMM's
remove and re-seat the Network Board
make sure setting of Img-Cont. is "0" in service mode
(*2 8* > Copier > Option > Int-Face > Img-Cont.)
check if the Dept. ID feature is turned off.
On the imageRUNNER the Dept. ID feature is for walk up copying and for network printing, unlike the Fiery family of imageRUNNERs that use the Dept ID for walk up copying only.
The print job needs to be sent along with a Dept. ID and, if set, a password in order to released to print.
If you cannot print and the jobs are stuck in queue on the PC or the server, check the following settings:
Verify that the protocol (LPD, RAW, SMB, etc) being used to print from the computers is enabled in Additional Functions on the copier.
Make sure Address Range Settings or Receiving MAC Address Settings are turned off or configured correctly.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

Re: IRC 3220 not printing
C boot ROM must be from a 3220 printer/ the 3200 & 3220 use same C Boot rom but the data is different
*When replacing the Boot Rom, update the data to the appropriate machine and version.
did u remove the Printer Kit A2 interface pcb ???
printer kit has "N" BOOT and interface pcb.
• imagePASS cannot be used with the optional Color Network Multi-PDL Printer Kit.
• imagePASS cannot be used with the optional Color USB Interface Board.
Color Network Multi-PDL Printer Kit and imagePASS cannot be installed together
BECAUSE--
The Fiery interface board goes in same slot used for Printer Kit interface pcb.
FIERY INSTALL---
Did u re-load your settings under PRINTER TAB ??
do u have the cross-over cable in correct slot ?
is the Fiery interface cable installed correct ??
did u adjust this setting in service mode ???????????
(*2 8* > Copier > Option > Int-Face > Img-Cont needs to be set a "3" for a connected FieryLast edited by teckat; 11-09-2011, 08:00 PM.**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

Re: IRC 3220 not printing
I tried putting in a "C" rom and hooking up a fiery. The print job goes into "NG" status. Any ideas?
Remember: to print with an older fiery rip, you need to set up an lpr port. If this is not offered to you as an option while setting up a new printing port, you need to install "additional unix printing features" (XP), then set up an lpr port with the ip adress of the rip and name the printer queue "print"If sometimes you feel a little useless, offended and depressed always remember that you were once the fastest and most victorious sperm of hundreds of millions!Comment
