    Re: uniflow

you have to log into SMS and disable the service.

    this might work::::
go to additional functions>system settings>initialize all data settings. This will take your machine back to factory default and clear all customer settings from the machine

doing this will clear out the MEAP applications, but you will not be able to restart them afterwards at all. If you want to disable the MEAP app then you have to log into the SMS through the RUI and stop the service.

You can't go to additional functions if machine have uniflow installed.

That is true only if you cannot log in.
After logging in we should be able to get to additional functions, and other necessary areas.

              Question :
What is the correct Login and Password to access the Service Management Console { SMS } on a MEAP device?

              Answer :

Access the Service Management System Console {SMS} on a MEAP device from Internet Explorer. The correct Login and Password are :

SMS Login: http:// Device IP Address:8000/sms

              Default password: MeapSmsLogin

Hi Guys, I have one that can't connect to the network. When I turn on the ir3225 I goes into meap and trys to connect with the server but it will not as it is not on a network. I need to change the ip address but if I try to login via sms it asks me to login but after putting the code it will not login. Is this because it can't "connect to server" Therefore I can't stop the client which I will then be able to change the ip address. Any idea's?
                    Thanks

it doesn't sound like you are going to use the MEAP application anymore so hook up to your SST and format the HDD and reload, if that doesn't work pull the HDD out and connect it to a PC and format it that way first and then reload everything with your SST. You could also get into service mode and try doing an MMI clear followed by a MN-CON clear, but if you do not have the p-prints I would not recommend this procedure.

Thanks charm, No he isn't going to need Meap so I'll give this a go if HDD format with SST doesn't work.

The only reason that you can't login to the SMS webpage would be if the default password has been changed previously.
You then really only have 2 options:
The complete format mentioned earlier may work but the proper way would be to contact your local Canon NSO and ask them to provide the MEAP Switch File.
After typing in an incorrect password, the device gives you the option of uploading a switch file. This will reset the password to the default and allow you to access the SMS and de-activate uniFLOW.

There is no simple 'off-switch' in service mode for uniFLOW.
Level 2> MEAPSAFE can help in some situations, but turning off UF Login Manager via the webpage is the best way.
If the device has been moved to a different network without without turning UF off first or if DHCP is on and you can't find it on the network anymore, then powering on the device in 'Fixed IP' mode and using a crossover cable to access the webpage will work.
