[Error Code] Canon IRC3100 / E008

After replacing the fixing unit (used,but good).I can't get rid of the error code E 008.I went to the service mode COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FX-UP-RL,entered 0. I even tried clearing the error code in service mode.What am i doing wrong?

Problem :
The error code E008-0001 could not be cleared. The code is for the fixing roller reaching its upper limit. After replacing the fixing roller the counter was reset in service mode COPIER>COUNTER>MISC>FX-UP-RL. The code did not clear.

Solution :
In this case the counter PCB was removed, cleaned and reinstalled. The error code was cleared.

Remove the counter PCB , clean it and re-installed it.

If you replaced the existing assembly with a used one, be sure to enter the counter reading of the used fixing assembly using the following service mode item:
COPIER> COUNTER> MISC> FX-UP-RL

If the counter reading is faulty, make the following computation, and enter the result:
A = current reading of 'total 2'.
B = reading of 'total 2' recorded for the previous service visit.
C = reading of 'FX-UP-RL' or 'DV-UNIT-K' recorded for the previous service visit.
Enter the result of the following for 'FX-UP-RL' or 'DV-UNIT-K':
(A - B) + C

Thank you for solving my problem.I cleaned the sensor and enter the meter reading fom the used fixer unit .In a half an hour, they were up and running.Thanks Again!!

is the same code for IR6800cn caused by counter too, cause i cleaned the error and nothing happened and again cleaned error & west toner counter them /c works OK.?

They are different:

Problem :
E008 0001 - This error code indicates an error in the count of the fixing assembly life. The counter may have become corrupt or the counter was not cleared at the time of parts replacement of upper fuser roller.

Solution :
Check the condition of the upper fuser roller. Replace if the roller is worn or damaged. After replacing the fuser roller, clear counter in service mode. COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>FX-UP-RL.

Turn the power off and then back on at the main switch, following proper shut down procedure.

If the fuser rollers appear to be in good condition, clearing the error code is the same as during replacement and COPIER>COUNTER>DRBL-1>FX-UP-RL, should be cleared and the machine powered off and then back on at the main switch, following proper shut down procedure
