Canon IR C2020L variation of image hue

Hi all,

I have a IR C2020L printer (without copy or fax unit) installed a week ago. Totally it has 250 pages printed.
3 days ago i`we tried to print 150 pages, but after approximate 100 pages it get dark (see 2.jpg and 3.jpg). I have tried to do auto adjust gradation, I have tried to print from other PC, but the results are the same.
Please help me with some hint`s what can I try, what should I do?

I have attached the original and the bad images, so you can see the difference.

As the residual toner accumulated on the Upstream Brush increases, potential cannot be
equalized when outputting solid white and solid black after transferring to the ITB so that the
failure occurs.

Replace the Drum Unit of
the specified color.

I`m not an expert in Canon printers, but how I know, drum units must be replaced after a few thousand prints, not after 250....
Is the drum unit of the printer covered by guarantee? Should I go to the seller to repair for me in guarantee?

Hi,

Finally, I`we resolved it. There is a Canon app named CC-100, a color calibration application. The only inconvenience was that I had to buy a CanoScan Lide 210 scanner to perform the calibration.... and it was the only model work with...
Anyway, the problem is resolved and the client is satisfied.

Finally, I`we resolved it. There is a Canon app named CC-100, a color calibration application. The only inconvenience was that I had to buy a CanoScan Lide 210 scanner to perform the calibration.... and it was the only model work with...
Anyway, the problem is resolved and the client is satisfied.

HE has a Printer ONLY unit ( no scanner.)
CC-100 allows certain portable scanners to be attached to these units to allow them to do Full adjust Autograd.
This was introduced with Ir 3200

Hi,

I will try to explain more detailed the problem and the solution.
Like vigour sad, I have a IR C2020L printer (only printer, without scanning unit).
Problem
The problem was described above, a variation of image hue.
Solution 1 - Not worked
First I`we received a solution from the seller that I have to execute "Full Adjust" Auto Adjust Gradation. It was not possible because I have a printer without Copy unit.
Solution 2 - Worked!
The next hint from the seller was that I have to perform a color calibration on my printer. To perform this I had to download an app from canon page (CC-100 v2.82 - CC-100 v2.82 ). This app prints 3 color pages on the C2020L printer, witch is attached to the network (not local printers), Those pages must be scanned with the CanoScan Lide 210 scanner (only this model), attached to a PC or laptop from the network. After the scan, the app sends the data to the printer for calibration. Now the printer prints OK.

The only "inconvenient" was that I had to buy a scanner to use my printer....

Hi,

With the same printer I have another problem, and I don`t know where should I start....
If I try to print from the network a file bigger than 3 Mb, the file sending procedure stops at 2,75-2,93 Mb and I get an error on the computer (the file cannot be sent). I`we tried at 3 different computers (2 laptops connected through WiFi and a wired connected PC).
The interesting thing is that if I connect the printer to a computer through an USB cable, it works without any problem....
Should I missadjust something on the printer (when I tried to resolve the previous problem) or there is a problem with the network??

Any hint is appreciated!

I had this issue with a 2020L - would not print over 3Mb over network, would work over USB.

I never did figure it out and I tried everything short of changing the controller, personally I think can only be a memory issue

Then surprisingly the USB stopped working as well, now I just use it for parts and throw things at it.

IRA 2020 = The biggest turd since the 3100..........

Will watch this thread with interest.
