ir5065 setting for pdf as scan to email default?

I have an ir5065 copier and it defaults to tiff when scanning to email and we would like it to default to pdf. I searched Add. Func./Custom Settings but can't seem to find where to change this and trying to locate a manual on Canon web site is impossible.

additional funct, communication settings, tx settings, edit standard settings, make selections

I click on Add. Func. and my choices are:
-System
-Register LDAP Server
-Forward Settings
-Department ID Management
-Import/Export
-Custom Settings

If I go into Custom settings and than Commnication Settings there is 3 options:
-E-mail-Fax Seetings
-Fax Settings
-Memory RX Inbox Settings

If I go into any of those 3 options I get nothing that relates to changing default scan option. Nothing related to pdf.

I'm trying to makes changes via the web interface and not standing next to the machine at the console. Do I need to be at the machine console?

i dont have a machine hooked up to look at web interface, if you are near machine the path i gave should be correct. I checked it on two diifferent models and they all seem to have the same user interface.

your send settings would be under the email/ifax settings and if you can't find them through the RUI then yes go to the machine?!?!

I'm 30 miles away from the copier but I finally did find the manual online and it looks like those options are only available at the machine console. Looks like a road trip.
