    Canon ir-2200 multifeed tray jam

It jams anywhere between 10 and 15 sheets into the copy. A single sheet of paper will be a little ways pulled into the tray and just hold there. Not physically caught or jammed just sitting there. This happens with every attempted batch of copies, any ideas?

    need code

yeah i got an idea. go into the service mode and tells us what the jam code reads. Maybe it is not what it appears to be, or it could be just having trouble feeding due to wear. feed and separation could be having trouble or paper lift.
I cant remember without looking at the diagram on the lift. maybe it doesn't have a lift. Anyway it could be who knows. The code helps to locate and verify. maybe a sensor flag not returning, maybe a small piece of paper is caught and you cant see it, but the paper hits it on the way in, hard to say, or maybe the problem is not the bypass but only happens when you use the bypass.
what it sounds like is more than one paper is trying to feed even though only one is caught in the roller, to me would be the feed and separation. They both work together, when one wears down the circumference changes as well as friction. clean feed and sep. off and try it again. If that works after that, then you know its a problem.
