    [Misc] Copy Count Retrieval

    Hi folks.

I'm in charge of 28 machines at a remote worksite. I am looking for a host based solution to pull the counters off of iRCAdv5051/2030 and iRC3080 as well as a couple 2530's. Would like to know if there's an snmp based solution for this or any other than works for that matter.

    Thanks

If you are a canon certificated tech, you can use e maintenance.

e-Maintenance is a brand new concept in service based on Canon's unique Remote Diagnostic System (RDS).

    • Prompt and pro-active service delivery
    • Automated fleet management
    • Real-time incident notification
    • Automatic meter readings and accurate billing
    • Easy consumables management

I am yes, since 2003. On everything canon below 75ppm. We've been trying to get an answer for RDS as we're in Canada and they're generally slightly behind CUSA when it comes to releasing new features and have yet to hear a response from our account manager. We touched faintly on this whilst training for the C5051 and was told by Suresh that it isn't available yet in Canada, this was in May.

Thanks for any insight guys appreciate it.

Imho e-maintenance is the cheapest way for Canon to get hold of our Customers Data

        I do not trust them.

Very good point. More or less looking for an snmp based solution that the client has to run only once a month to just pull all the readings. I know I'm aiming high but worth a shot. If no one here knows of one then no one will :-)

One of our customers used "TEAMVIEWER" to access the machines RUI via the internet to look at the counters.
Teamviewer works like PC Anywhere, you can bring the remote computer desktop to your PC.

you could install canon netspot on one of the client pc`s onsite then access via teamviewer as quoted above
