There is no external print server box on this guy. I can get the Canon setup to find it on the net but it errors in the print queue at the PC whenever I try to print. When you select Scan at the control panel, "Wait" is constantly displayed. The remote web user interface only gives fax as an available address type. We have had several calls for these guys recently that people are buying used on the cheap. I have no firmware or software support from Canon on this model. Any Ideas?

Re: IR C3220 errors network printing, Scan says constant "Wait"
you need to get into service mode * (2/8) * and then go to copier>display>version and look for the BOOT. If it show a 'C' next to the version then you have no print option on it.Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned. -

Re: IR C3220 errors network printing, Scan says constant "Wait"
I work for a very small company with a very limited budget for printers, so my boss just picked up a IRc3220 at an auction for $100. It prints and copies great, and it will scan and save items to the "mailbox on the unit. But we can not figure out how to get the scans to save to a shared folder so that they may be accessible from any of 5 computers on the network. I'm new to Canon copiers so you will most likely have to dumb it down for me, but how can I tell if the unit is even capable of scanning to a remote file or scanning to a computer?Comment

All Universal Send Capable imageRUNNER Models Title : Sharing Folders On Windows 7 Question :
How do you setup a shared folder in Windows 7? ---EXAMPLE
Answer :
1. Click the Windows Start Menu Button and click Computer.
2. Double click the drive letter where the shared folder will be located.
3. Click New folder
4.Name the New folder. For this example we will create a folder called scans.
5. Right Click on the scans folder and select Share with, then select Advance sharing.
6. Click Advance Sharing
7. Select Share this folder and type the folder name in the Share name field.
Click the Permissions Button.
8. For testing purposes Everyone should be given Full Control of the folder. The administrator account should be used for testing. (Each user should have a user name created and added on the workstation that will be hosting the share folder.) Press OK after Full Control is selected.
9. The folder should now be seen as Shared. Click Close.
Your shared folder has been created.Attached Files**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**Comment

Re: IR C3220 errors network printing, Scan says constant "Wait"
I see in the Network Guide it says, "You can only send data from the machine if the optional equipment is installed. For theequipment needed, see "Optional Equipment and System Environment Requirements,"
on p. 1-2." I went to pages 1-2 but it doesn't give me an understanding of what capabilities this unit has.
Well I can't figure if the machine we bought even has these capabilities. Is there an easy way of bringing up a list of capabilities this printer/copier has? Btw, all the computers on our network run windows 7, and none of them seem to have the option for "default FTP site" in the IIS. Please bare with me. This is all new to me.Comment
