    [Misc] IR3030 toner problem

    I can't get the printer to recognize the new toner cartridge. Not getting any error messages, just changed out the toner but copier doesn't see it. The 'device status' says the toner is empty although it is new.
    Under 'printer status' is says 'maintenance errors have occurred'.
    Of course, I have plugged/unplugged, on, off, etc.
    Any suggestions?

    go to service mode function Install Toner Supply then turn off and on the machine it will works


    it happened with me and i left it for 2 days and then it works

      Our company is having the same issues with katun toner for the Ir3030 series. The toner will not be reconized by the toner sensor in the developer. Also we get 1/2 blank copies. Im not bashing katun, most of thier products work fine.

        Yea, we had that problem, turned out it was the universal cartirdge that was suppose to work in multiple machines and it didn't. Changed to toner cartridge for that machine and it worked fine. Looked at the supply end of the cartridge and they were different.

          Thank you all SO MUCH! By going into service mode I was able to reset the toner and now it WORKS!

                device manager? You mean RUI ? that could be a drawer out of paper....

                  Solution :
                  If this issue occurs, perform a DCON Clear and power cycle the machine. A DCON Clear will reset Service Mode values back to default. After performing the clear, you will need to enter in the values from the Front Door Label back into the imageRUNNER.

                    Yes, I realized the term 'device manager' was probably wrong, but it was the only thing I could come up with.
                    Yes, the 'error's' message not only referred to the toner, but also to low paper in two of the drawers. I'm on a learning curve with this, so pardon my inexperience.

                      Remote User Interface

                      Put the ip address of the copier into a web browser and have a look.

                        Oh, I do that already....I just didn't know the name for it. I kind of work in a vacuum here, with no one else that uses the correct terminology.

                        I love working on the copiers and printers remotely, we used to have to use Netware which wasn't as user friendly.

                          i know what working in a vacuum is like with almost no one else knowing what the hell is going on!
