Canon IR 3035 System Software ( Replacing Hard Drive)

    [Misc] Canon IR 3035 System Software ( Replacing Hard Drive)

    I have a Canon IR 3035, HD was removed for security reasons. ( Don't understand why they must do this). I know their is a way to delete the files without having to remove the entire drive. At any cause I have purchased a new drive and now need SST (operating system software) Does anyone know where I can get this. I need this asap. IF anyone knows please help me out... Your help is very much appreciated. You may e-mail me if possible Cmskills@gmail.com

      Hi Cmskills
      SST is the Service Support Tool for loading canon firmware, from what I understand you will have to be a dealer support, to be able to access.

          Oh BOY! Not good news, I was looking at some other postings in regards to formatting hard drives, some say you can download online...at this point I don't know what to think. Does anyone out there have a Hard drive for a Canon IR 3035 that is already programmed? I am willing to purchase it asap. Let me know!

                  u can only use this HDD

                          OK, does this mean that when I perform the " Initialize All Data " this will format the hard drive? The new hard drive has nothing on it, of course clean

                                      if u have the original HDD
                                      You could perform the " Initialize All Data " on the HDD that was originally in printer                                      /
                                      " Initialize All Data " can only be used on HDD while in printer

                                      The only sector of image data that will remain following the procedure will be the default operating system stored on a partition separate from the user partition.
                                      ***********
                                      This will keep the iR3035 Firmware loaded in printer/
                                      U would not have to reload printer firmware back in



                                      But with a new HDD u need to
                                      Format the HDD using the Format file listed under the models firmware in the SST tool

                                      if u don't have the original HDD, u need to find this one online MHV2040AH20 / or pay Canon for this part #WM2-5235-000and be over charged/ search online for either one-

                                      HTS541640J9AT00
                                      this one could work also                                      ---

                                      iR3035 = has a internal20 GB hard drive
