are u using Canon product or non-OEM ??

    no chip in 6530 !!

If your compatible cartridges are not being recognized by your printer as a "smart chip" placed into the printers in hopes that you will not figure out how to over-ride this and will only be able to purchase (expensive) original products. Please follow the instructions below and you will be ready to print:

    • Step 1: Go to Start Menu, then Settings and select Printers & Faxes. Delete your printer from the list
    • Step 2: Go to Start Menu, then Settings and select Add/Remove Programs and delete the printer details, if exists
    • Step 3: Ensure that everything relating to the printer has been deleted from the hard drive as well - do a search of all the files and delete anything and everything that has your manufacturer's name associated with it
    • Step 4: Try and print - you should get an error message if everything has been removed
    • Step 5: Re-install your print drivers using the CD you originally used
    • Step 6: Make sure the ink level indicator is not selected when drivers are installed.
    • Step 7: Re-start your computer

This was a service call I was trying to walk the customer through on the phone, Anyway I did the service call and they broke the toner cartridge, Replaced it with a new one and that solved the problem.

Thanks for your help and input.
