Check MSW2, the switch could be mis-adjusted or loose.

Disable potential control by going into service mode Copier > Option > Tempo > F-POT-SW. Now copies can be run.
1) A solid black copy means laser is defective.
2) A white copy means you should check the Primary corona and HVT.
3) A good copy means you should check the Potential sensor PCB.

Hello friends

i have ir5000 copier , Appear an err E000061-0001 , i have reset the machine but the err was still consistent !I have checked The laser shutter / laser unit is not faulty DC controller too is not faulty but In vain ,LCD still displays this damn err ^^.



can anyone help me . Lot of thankx

This error is caused also by discharging lamps(led) of drum.
Once i opened drum unit and demaged one of wires of led lamps after i turned on the machine it showed me this error code.
If leds do not work the cleaning blade could not clean properly the drum.And it looks like is plated with toner and sensor reads out that toner causing the error code.

It can happen if the sensor is dirty OR THE DRUM NEEDS POLISHED. That is your easy fix.

i have the same problem regarding the error e00061-0001, it can be reset but it took along hours before it will reset, everytime i open the machine the error appear, can any one help me

I tried to check the primary assembly, i changed it to a new one, then i reset it again, and the error was gone, i think it the problem is the primary assembly as of this time but i wll observe it for the whole day because it is now functioning.for the past 4 years that i am using canon ir5000 it s my first time to met this kind of error.

I'll give you another tip. When turn on the machine listen for the laser, its the real high pitch noise.
How old is the drum & what's the meter on this device.

I tried to check the primary assembly, i changed it to a new one, then i reset it again, and the error was gone, i think it the problem is the primary assembly as of this time but i wll observe it for the whole day because it is now functioning.for the past 4 years that i am using canon ir5000 it s my first time to met this kind of error.

is the drum turning?there is a gear screwed to the drum drive shaft at rear frame.i've had the screws snap twice causing this error.may be worth checking!
