    Thick grey Lines IR-ADV 6055i

Can anyone tell me what may be the cause of the lines that are appearing in scan direction on an IR-ADV-6055i. The lines sometimes will completely dissapear and then will appear at random throughout the print, the machine has only done 26K since new, you can see the lines quite clearly on any test print from the engine.

    Many thanksgrey lines.jpg

If this was a cleaning blade issue would the lines not appear across the sheet (feed direction) rather than appearing down the sheet?

which direction is the issue ???
        FEED DIRECTION.JPG

this is a cross-feed banding issue below >> front of printer to back of printer
Developing unit copper contacts were bent. The contacts were reformed to resolve this issue.

banding due to the poor contact at dev bias plate:

Bending the bias plates to the developing contacts on the main body side and developer side fixed the issue.

That's the best advice. If the DV unit contacts are not the problem.....the dv unit itself may be causing this. Good luck.

            Thanks for all your replies

I have already ordered a new dev unit just in case but will check the copper contacts before doing anything else.

            will let you know
