    E067-0102 on Canon iRC 2880

Yet another problem: error code E067-0102, with the dark background of Canon iRC 2880 ....
I replaced the drums, I upgraded the machine with the latest version of the System, but to no avail, the defect remains .....

    Tips?

    Thank you again!

    Problem :

E067 - 0102 Error Code was indicated at power on.

    Solution :

    1. Check to see if the primary transfer roller spring is deformed or detached.

    2. Clean the point of contact of the primary transfer roller.

    3. Make the following selections in sequence [Service mode > COPIER > Display > MISC > DRM-LIFE] to check the setting value; if the value is around '100', suspect that the drum almost reaches the end of life, and replace the drum unit with a new one.

    4. If the symptom still occurs, re-fit all the connectors of the DC Controller PCB.

    5. If Step 4 does not work on the symptom, output P-Print printouts, and then replace the DC Controller PCB with a new one.

    and check this as well:

Accidents don't just happen. They must be carelessly planned.

DRBL mean nothing when u have usage of Color coverage on paper over 15% -

Canon determines usage on plain paper LTR at 5%/6% black text

                this is 6%

                  Hi y'll,

Sorry to bump this thread but we have a customer with this code, we have tried the above suggestions and a couple of other with no luck. Unfortunattly as I write this Canon are out of stock of the ITB's till next Wednesday week (22nd Feb)!!!

What I want to ask is that, has anyone tried taking an ITB apart for these machines, I know you can't get replacment parts for bits inside the unit but would like to know if it can be cleaned etc.

                  Best Regards,

do not attempt to take apart this cheap unit

you will be sorry if u do

sometimes if u replace all the drums at once> it clears the e067 code

drum life % readings are misleading

Had every IRC2880/3880 model we have showing the "insert black drum " message over the last week,
Cos we cant get the Dc Controller V61 software from canon, we have to fit an ITB assy,
thats probably why they are out of stock,
does anyone have the IRC3880_V3 Dccont V61 software , please

You need DC Controller version 66.02 to stop error E067-0102. None of the earlier versions will work.

66.02 actually disables the error code and turns it into an alarm code (only visible under ALARM-2 in service mode), so you can continue using the machine without having to replace the ITB.

A colleage tried cleaning the K primary roller with alcohol, this seemed to work. But another colleage had a theory, wouldn;t the moisture of the alcohol make the primary roller more conductive, temporary resolving the problem and making it able do autograd and rewrite som dccon vallues/

Hi! I solved the problem by replacing the ITB assy, and upgrading the dcon at 65.xx version
